Please make note of our new email address

The Logan County Genealogical Society Executive Board would like to extend a very special and heartfelt thanks to Alexis Butterworth who has been working the last year with the Logan County Historical Society, for all the time and assistance she has given us over the last few months to create this much needed website. Thank you, Alexis. We couldn't have done it without you!!

Due to the unpredictable Ohio weather, the Society Executive Board has once again decided to close the office and library December 23, 2022, and reopen again on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The Society email will be checked often and the phone answering machine as often as weather permits. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. If you are planning a visit to our area from out of town during this time period, either email or call and leave a message and someone will get back with you about setting an appointment to do research, weather permitting.

One of our members is looking for a picture of the Mt. Moriah Church that was located in Zane Township between Middleburg and North Lewisburg. If you have any such picture and are willing to share a copy with him, please contact the society at

(937) 593-7811.
