UPCOMING EVENTS
This year’s Member Meeting was held November 17, 2022 at 6 PM at the East Liberty Masonic Lodge Main Floor. The newly remodeled area was the perfect venue as we greeted Mr. “Mark Twain”, who many do not associate with Ohio, but he actually had quite the adventures throughout. We listened as he shared antidotes of his time, and caught up on old times! Light refreshments/desserts were provided and enjoyed by all. Before Mr. Twain entertained us, we will had a short year in review as well as recognized our newest Lineage Society inductees.
Camden Oliver Meeker, six-month old grandson of our vice president was inducted into:
First Families (your direct line had to live in Logan County in 1840), Pioneer Families (you direct line had to live in Logan County in 1850) Civil War Families (your ancestor that served in the Civil War had to have been born in Logan County, lived in Logan County, or died in the County), and finally Camden added Century Families to the lineage societies he joined. (you director ancestor had to have lived in Logan County in 1922. Also inducted into the Civil War Families, was Barbara Montgomery and Betsy Forsythe. Congratulations to these three and welcome to these elite societies.
Stephen Hollen is not from Logan County but has visited previously and has relatives within it’s borders. He has traveled extensively, not only in his travels as Mark Twain, but also as various other “characters”. His interactive presentations are delightful and fun for all ages.
